The O.D. Butler Forage Field Day is scheduled for Friday, May 19th at the Camp Cooley Ranch Division of Circle X Land & Cattle Company. Registration for the event will begin at 8:00am. The GPS address is 4297 Camp Cooley Ranch Rd, Franklin, TX. Please call 979-828-4270 to pre-register. We need you to call and register so we can get an accurate count for lunch. The registration fee of $25.00 can be paid at registration from 8:00am to 9:00am on Friday, May 19th.
A Vegetable Field Day will be held 1 miles south of Hwy 79 on FM 1940, just south of New Baden. The program will be held on Saturday, June 17th with registration to begin at 8:30am. The program will begin at 9:00am & conclude around 12:00pm. The topics covered will focus on subjects of interest to small commercial producers and home gardeners. “Beef Cattle and Forage Management Seminar” The Seminar will be held on Monday, October 30th at the Pridgeon Community Center, 351 Cooks Lane in Franklin. The cost for the program, meal, handouts, etc. will be $50.00. Registration will begin at 7:00am with the program to begin at 7:30am and conclude at 3:00pm. RCFA Turkey clinic will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, 6:30 pm at the Extension Office in Franklin.
RCFA County Turkeys will arrive on Wednesday, November 8th. You will pick your birds up at the Extension Office in Franklin around 1:30pm. Please bring boxes with you to put your birds in. Turkey clinic will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, 6:30 pm at the Extension Office in Franklin.
RCFA Commercial Heifer Clinic will be held on Sunday, November 12th. 1:30 pm at the Franklin Church of Christ. RCFA requires 1st time exhibitors in this program to attend at least one clinic in order to show at the fair. We encourage all exhibitors to attend one or both clinics as we try to provide different information at each clinic. The next clinic will be held on Sunday, December 10th, 1:30 pm at the Franklin Church of Christ.
The Franklin 4-H Club will meet on Sunday, November 12th. 4:00 pm at the Robertson County Cowboy Church in Franklin.
