The private applicator license is required to buy and apply restricted-use and state limited-use herbicides and pesticides.

The Texas Department of Agriculture requires the training prior to being tested for a private applicator pesticide license, which is also issued through the department.
Private applicator training cost $53.00, License fee $100.00, Testing fee $64.00.
